If you didn't guess already, my name is Brian Wood.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where I studied Journalism and Sociology. During my stay at UMass I was a proud employee of The Massachusetts Daily Collegian (New England's largest college daily paper).

Thanks to my involvement both in the classroom and at The Collegian I have extensive experience in both the traditional aspects of journalism (writing, reporting, news gathering and copy editing) as well as the ever evolving technical aspects (web based publishing, design, social media integration).

While at The Collegian I redesigned the paper's website, turning it into an independently hosted entity and one of the finest looking and functioning student-run sites on the web. I also redesigned the print product's weekend edition. Some samples of my Arts & Living front pages can be viewed in the portfolio section of this site.

My philosophy is a simple one: always deliver information in an attractive and user-friendly manner. Whether it is written words, newspaper layout or a multimedia filled landing page, I always aim to create rich experiences.

This web page is a place to highlight some of the multimedia and design work I have done over the past few years. It is currently under construction and I will add more items to it as they become available to me. Below you can find links to a few of my published written works, as well as my resume and a few multimedia packages. I am constantly immersed in the internet, so I am easy to get a hold of.
